Aims

With the Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences (Doctor's Degree Program) and the Clinical Pharmaceutical Sciences program, the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences strives to provide students with a strong foundation in basic pharmaceutical science, life science, medical pharmacy, and hygiene and social medical science at our undergraduate program, and mold them into elite medical experts and life science researchers who can stand out in their respective fields while sharing their knowledge with others through instruction. The Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences academic department seeks to train researchers and engineers in basic and genomic drug discovery, both of which will play major roles in the field of drug discovery, and to also train researchers and engineers in the cutting-edge fields of life science and environmental science. Meanwhile, the Clinical Pharmaceutical Sciences academic department seeks to train practitioners of medicine who possess a deep knowledge of the qualities of various drugs in use in clinical settings, high-quality clinical pharmacists who can contribute to the understanding and teach the proper use of medicine, and clinical researchers who can contribute to the research regarding the prevention and treatment of various illnesses.
