The aim of this course is to utilise our graduate school's flexible curriculum to produce top-grade researchers. Pharmaceutical science and the basic subjects of Natural science are compulsory, but students can select most other subjects on offer as optional subjects. This gives students a freedom to model their course content to their individual interests.

From the second year students are able to choose subjects regardless of grade and are provided with a great opportunity to engage with cutting edge science early in their research studies.

Assignment to laboratories begins in the third year and more than ever students will come in to contact with front-line research. This allows for efficient progress to be made with each students individual researches, maintaining a high level of interest in the students throughout their studies. Most students plan to stay on at our graduate school as researchers.

The new graduate school system will be up and running from 2010. Students will be awarded degrees at the completion of the Master course or the Doctorate course.
