Course Model

Model curriculum for specialized education in the School of Pharmacy

Pharmacy is a discipline based on chemistry, physics, and biology. The career choices available after graduation are diverse, including becoming a pharmacist at a pharmacy (hospital or independent), or testing/management of new pharmaceutical development, research, manufacturing, sales, health, or hygiene at a company. In addition, taking into consideration the recent introduction of clinical pharmacy, as well as deeper investigations into pharmaceuticals and related fields symbolized by advancements in molecular biology and information science, the subjects taught at the School of Pharmacy will be of considerable importance.

The model curricula of the School of Pharmacy and the School of Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences (Drug Development, Life Sciences) shown below are examples only to be used as reference for elective course registration. It should be kept in mind that all subjects scheduled to start as part of the new School of Pharmacy are important foundational subjects regardless of which field a student eventually chooses to pursue. When registering for electives, please contemplate your future career path and what you plan to learn at Kumamoto University's School of Pharmacy. Also, students are encouraged to consult with teachers, older students, and friends in order to carefully plan their personal curricula.
