 | Makoto NAKAJIMA Ph.D. Phone:（096）371-4680 E-mail: nakajima@gpo.kumamoto-u.ac.jp | Makoto Nakajima received his Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo in 1988 under the direction of Prof. K. Koga. He joined the faculty as a Research Associate at the University of Tokyo in 1988. From 1990 to 1992 he worked as a postdoctoral fellow with Prof. W. C. Still at Columbia University. In 1993, he moved to the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Hokkaido University as an Assistant Professor and was promoted to Associate Professor in 1998. In 2004, he joined Kumamoto University as a Professor of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences. In 1999, he received the Pharmaceutical Society of Japan Award for Young Scientists. His research interests include the development of new catalysts for asymmetric reactions. | ||||
